"When the waves get silent"
Is there unique love? What is love? Is there a fate in people’s lives? This is a triptych of eternal questions which touch the sensitive hearts of those who live to feel.
Nepheli, a piano soloist. Angelos, an architect. And Eve, the key-figure in the dramatic scene of our story who, unawares, will affect dramatically all others’ lives and decisions. The first meeting of Angelos and Nepheli happily takes place in Corfu and turns into a strong love affair. However, at some time she opens her wings and goes to Paris, enters a competition in her art and wins. And all of a sudden comes the shock. A disease… And her tortures begin….
Our heroes get involved in a game with no limits, where love
and fate join to drift away victims and perpetrators. They will
have to make life decisions and fight with their feelings. How
will they deal with the unexpected turmoil without hurting others
or being hurt? Who will survive this game of life,
when the waves get silent?
A deeply human novel on the unselfish friendship, on love. A hymn of the man who can stand up to the grim difficulties of life.
About me
Stathis Savanis was born and grew up in the village of Ano
Korakiana, Corfu.
Tales and comics were his companions during his childhood. It was
the time when he thought of life innocently, optimistically and
hopefully, despite its difficulties.
“When the time came for me to open my wings and fly away, I
was hurt. It was at that time that I lost my innocence, my
optimism and my hope.
I struggled hard, though!!
This book was born actually because, through my struggle and my
trip in life, I regained my optimism, my hope and the pleasure of
dreaming; so, this venture is the outcome of this desire of mine”.
